BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are the backbone of the El Dorado Shootout and are a huge part of the tournaments continued success. Volunteers do not need any golf knowledge or experience to be a part of the event. Our staff will teach you everything you need to know for your specific position. With over 20 different areas to volunteer, you’re certain to find something that fits your interests. Some of the positions include:
- Spotters – bring a chair and take a shady seat along a fairway to help golfers locate their ball in some of the more difficult to see course locations.
- Information Welcome Tents – Greet guests, assist with parking direction and hand out maps to course visitors
- Marshal – Help the crowd know when to “simmer down” when players are preparing to take their next shot.
Volunteer opportunities begin on Wednesday September 16, 2026, to kick off the tournament with our Pro-Am, and run through the end of tournament play on Sunday, September 20, 2026. We have shifts beginning as early as 7:00 a.m. and running through the end of play each day.
With over 400 volunteers participating during the week, you are sure to make new friends! It takes a village (of volunteers) to make this event a success and we cannot do it without you. Volunteers can work one shift on one day or multiple shifts on multiple days so feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you want!
Volunteers will receive a Shootout golf polo*, breakfast or lunch during your assigned shift and will spend time at one of the top-rated golf courses in the nation. Our volunteers continue to come back year-after-year to help support this great event within the El Dorado community.
*Please register to volunteer by August 21st to be guaranteed a shirt.
“I’ve always loved volunteering for different groups, Horizons Board, El Dorado Parks & Playgrounds, Airport Commission, Earth Day at the schools. Epson gives me an opportunity to help at a great event and the groups it helps, Team Corrie is close to me as I had cancer and they helped me with financial assistance. Volunteering is a major way to give back to our community and one reason El Dorado is a great place to live. People and businesses always step up and help out.”
