Epson Tour sophomore Erica Shepherd’s final round was nothing like she expected it. Sitting three shots behind the lead heading into Championship Sunday’s final round, the Indiana native felt some nerves while on the quest to claim the first victory of her young professional career.

“I actually am proud of myself. I do not know if I have ever said that before, but like I have said, it has been such a journey, and succeeding in pro golf has definitely not been easy for me,” said Shepherd.

Young Golfers Invited to Take the First Swing Ahead of the 10th Annual Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout

Registration is open now for the 2025 El Dorado Shootout Junior Clinic

EL DORADO, Ark. (Aug. 27, 2025) – The Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout is accepting registrations for its 10th annual junior golf clinic on Monday, September 15. The event marks the exciting start to the Shootout events, just days before top female golfers from around the world tee off in the LPGA qualifying tournament. The clinic will take place at Mystic Creek Golf Course from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and is open to aspiring golfers ages 6 to 18. Space is limited for this free event, so early registration is recommended.

Jenny Bae Claims Third Career Victory at the 2024 Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout

The week started with Jenny Bae as the leader at the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, and the week ended the same way. Bae went wire-to-wire for the second time in her career and did so in her last two victories. She went wire-to-wire at the 2023 Twin Bridges Championship, another challenging golf course at which to hold a lead. Bae has proved time and time again what a force she can be when her game is on, and she needs to manage a hard golf course.
