2025 Charity Partners
Each year, the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout proudly selects charity partners to be the beneficiaries of the tournament’s proceeds. Now celebrating its 10th year, the El Dorado Shootout has surpassed $240,000 in total donations to a variety of charitable organizations.
This year, the tournament remains committed to a powerful shared mission: the fight against breast cancer. We are proud to support multiple organizations that are making a significant impact on women’s health both statewide and within our hometown. These partners include the #teamcorrie Cancer Foundation, the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, and the South Arkansas Regional Hospital Foundation.
In addition to benefiting from increased media exposure and public awareness, each organization will receive a donation during the tournament’s Closing Ceremony on Sunday, September 21.
#teamcorrie Cancer Foundation
The #teamcorrie Cancer Foundation was created in honor of the late Corrie Jo Gross Bechtelheimer and her dream of helping local cancer warriors. #teamcorrie’s mission is to provide one-time grants to cancer patients residing in Union County, Arkansas, to assist with medical expenses incurred during cancer treatments. In addition to grants, #teamcorrie makes and donates yarn character wigs to children experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatments.
Even with insurance, cancer is costly. Cancer warriors and their families can be devastated physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. People with cancer can often be faced with difficult decisions when it comes to being able to afford their medication, treatments, and day-to-day expenses. Since the inception of the Foundation, #teamcorrie has given over $339,000 in grants to over 282 cancer patients and has donated over 2,000 wigs to children in need.
Thanks to community support and the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, in 2025, #teamcorrie was able to raise their grant amount from $2,000 per applicant to $2,500. The increased grant amount will allow #teamcorrie to make more of an impact when helping individuals with cancer in Union County.
#teamcorrie will hold their 13th annual Paint the Town Pink 5K Color Walk/Run, in downtown El Dorado on Saturday, October 4 to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

UAMS is committed to transforming cancer care for patients in Arkansas and surrounding states by expanding access to vital cutting-edge technologies and pioneering therapies, including being home to the only stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy program in the state. July 18th 2023, UAMS opened the state’s first and only Proton Therapy Center, becoming one of only 40 in the United States. The world-renowned Myeloma Center is the international leader in the treatment of multiple myeloma and related blood cancers. The Mammovan has provided breast cancer screenings to more than 20,000 women in underserved and rural areas throughout the state, and it is often the only source of breast cancer screening for women in rural Arkansas. This mobile unit saves lives by helping women detect breast cancer early when it’s most treatable. The new mobile unit offers the most advanced 3D mammography. Colorectal screening through FIT testing and lung cancer education will also be offered. The Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Breast Center at UAMS is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and is designated as an ACR Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center.

The South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH) Foundation
The South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH) Foundation is a nonprofit agency of the SHARE Foundation dedicated to raising funds that directly support our hospital’s most critical needs. Our mission is to raise funds to support SARH initiatives and purchase priority medical equipment to improve patient outcomes. Therefore, SARH Foundation serves as a vital bridge between compassionate donors and SARH’s mission to improve the health and healing of the people of South Arkansas.
Through the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners, the SARH Foundation helps bridge the gap between what is needed and what is possible. Donations ensure the hospital can invest in advanced technology, upgrade patient care areas, and enhance services close to home.
Recent contributions have helped acquire state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, surgical equipment, and other facility upgrades to support improvements that make care safer and more effective for patients and families in our region.
Every gift, large and small, has a direct impact on the health and well-being of our community. By funding essential equipment and hospital projects, donors empower physicians and medical staff to deliver high-quality care and respond to the evolving healthcare needs of South Arkansas.
The SARH Foundation is committed to careful stewardship and transparency in managing every dollar entrusted to us. Together, we can strengthen local healthcare, improve patient outcomes, and help ensure that excellent care remains available right here at home.
